ABOUT OUR ORGANIZATION

The Brooklyn Robot Foundry was founded in Brooklyn, NY, in 2011 and has expanded throughout the United States. Our programs teach circuitry and engineering to children 2-14. Using our signature designs and building methods, we encourage children to develop critical thinking and harness their creativity in a screen-free environment.

 

JOB POSITION DESCRIPTION

Do you want to make a difference? Brooklyn Robot Foundry Washington, DC seeks part-time educators who enjoy working with children to lead robot-building classes in local schools, after school programs, during school holidays, summer vacations and at birthday parties.

Successful candidates will demonstrate an enthusiasm for hands-on, STEAM-focused learning and be creative thinkers, problem solvers and strong verbal communicators. An ability to work with a variety of learners and create a welcoming environment that encourages creativity and confidence is essential.

This is a perfect job for an upper class college or graduate student pursuing a career in early childhood education who seeks in-class experience or someone who is looking for part time work while pursing another career (i.e. actors, artists and designers).
